SUMMARY: To provide quality customer service and products and maximize cooperative profitability by performing repairs and service work within the shop as well as on-farm tire repairs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provides vehicle service (oil changes), repairs and mounts tires in shop and on the farm as directed.
• Sells tires for auto, truck, pivots and implements.
• Responsible for daily maintenance and appearance of the shop, shop inventory, tire truck and related equipment.
• Informs the tire manager of prospective customers and sales and assists in contacting farmers and businesses for tire sales.
• Responsible to keep supervisor informed of low inventory levels, allowing adequate time for ordering and delivery.
• Completes work orders along with accurate billing for sales and services performed in a timely manner.
• Responsible for completeness, accuracy and neatness of paperwork to account for inventory and properly invoice customers.
• Assists in taking monthly and annual inventory of all tires and other merchandise as directed by supervisor.
• Responsible for the appearance and maintenance of area and assigned equipment.
• Follows all company rules and policies.
• Complies with all applicable OSHA, EPA and FDA rules and regulations.
• Performs other duties as directed by supervisor.
• Takes an active role in promoting growth, progress and profitability of the cooperative.
• Takes an active part in building high morale within the employee group.
• Serve member patrons in a manner that will improve the economic well being and increase their patronage of the cooperative.
• Attend meeting and training sessions as directed by supervisor.
• Responsible for immediately correcting and notifying supervisor of any potential health or safety hazard or any other situations that might cause harm to an employee, the cooperative or the general public.
• Gives prompt courteous service to all customers.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This job may require extended hours of work during peak seasons. This position may require moderate to heavy lifting of up to 100 lbs. The position may require working in extreme temperature conditions.
