Responsibilities:

The primary responsibility of the Adult Outpatient (AOP) Therapist will be to provide mental health services based on the application of clinical social work and/or clinical psychology theory and principles.

Some specific duties include:

  • Providing therapy that includes goal oriented, and empirically based models for individual, group, family, and couples in the office;
  • Providing services with the goal of collaboration and coordination with other community service providers;
  • Participating in training and supervision and providing public information;
  • Completing at least five initial assessments per week and making appropriate referrals;
  • May undertake special teaching and training activities as requested;
  • Delivering reimbursable hours of service compliant with established standards;
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as circumstances warrant.

Qualifications:

Including but not limited to:


  • Bert Nash Center requires proof of Covid-19 immunization prior to starting any position. Covid-19 vaccine series must be completed or in process to be cleared for new hire orientation.
  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university, a master's degree from an accredited school of social work, a Master of Arts degree, or a doctorate degree in clinical psychology
  • At least two years of experience in the mental health field;
  • A Licensed Master's level Social Worker (LMSW), a Licensed Master's level Psychologist (LMLP), a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker (LSCSW, or a Licensed Clinical Psychotherapist (LCP) in the State of Kansas; also, LCPC; LMFT; LCMFT.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid, unrestricted driver's license;
