The First Baptist Church of Clarendon Child Development Center is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic caregivers ~ teachers to foster and facilitate the social, emotional, physical and cognitive growth and development of a group of children.

In addition to their *educational qualifications and experience the ideal candidate willingly and joyfully plays in the mud, takes long walks in the rain, jumps in puddles, reads books over and over as though they were reading them for the first time every time, sings as though no one is listening, holds insects, plays board games, makes-up rhymes, laughs at marginally funny jokes, dances as though no one is watching, wipes noses, makes a good snowball, can track a floating bubbles and be surprised if/when they pop, has a warm heart, a welcoming smile, practices random acts of kindness, listens patiently and attentively, sees wonder and awe in the world, is willing to try to see and understand the world through the eyes of a child, practices forgiveness and must have the patience of Job.

*Design, develop and deliver a comprehensive individualized and differentiated teaching plan that meets the developmental levels of children with variant learning styles and modalities

· Use a variety of activities and instructional methods (songs, stories, media, structured games, art, outdoor activities etc) to motivate and stimulate children’s abilities

· Maintain an open line of communication with parents and provide appropriate information

· Reflectively respond to children’s development using the tools of observation and documentation

· Establish, maintain and sustain relationships with each child

Establish, maintain and sustain a social emotional learning community that fosters connection and respect through the consistent modeling and implementation of routines and rituals and structures that empower children to self-regulate, cooperate and contribute to the school family

· Cooperate with and contribute to the mission and vision of the FBCC CDC
