onsemi is seeking a self-driven and motivated professional to join the Pocatello Test Development Line team located in Pocatello, Idaho. As a Test Technician, you will have the opportunity to work on calibration and maintenance of test equipment. You will be a part of a test development team.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to:

  • Provide calibration and repair services on a wide range of measuring and test equipment to national and international standards and requirements. Compare measuring and test equipment with appropriate standards, and perform any necessary adjustments, to ensure instruments meet specified tolerances
  • Troubleshoot and isolate malfunctions, perform adjustments or repair, and recalibrate as required. Consult with manufacturers as necessary to resolve questions and restore normal instrument operation
  • Develop calibration work instructions for new instruments and ensure existing work instructions meet onsemi requirements. Experience with Fluke Met/Cal and Fluke Met/Team software would be beneficial
  • Interface and collaborate with internal customers, vendors, manufactures, to deliver successful outcomes in service, quality, performance, and safety. When necessary, work with manufacturers, vendors, to resolve equipment issues, calibration questions, and ensure the quality of measurement processes
  • Assist metrology engineer in evaluation of the performance of laboratory standards and take appropriate actions to sustain performance. Maintain a clean and orderly work environment
  • Investigate availability of outside suppliers for calibration of instrumentation that the onsemi does not have the capability to calibrate internally. When necessary, obtain quotes for external calibrations and generate purchase requisitions for items requiring subcontract service.
  • Participate in annual certification and surveillance audits. This may include customer audits, ISO-9001, and AS-9100 quality system audits
  • Perform routine maintenance and adjustments on test, probe, handling, and assembly equipment
  • Perform troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning test equipment (includes testers, probers, handlers, and assembly)
  • Work in an environment where quality, cost, and delivery are of utmost importance.

Qualifications

  • AAS in Electronics
  • 3+Year Robotics Program (BSEET) preferred
  • Knowledge of MS Office
  • Must be able to effectively interface directly with co-workers, global colleagues, and test engineers on a regular basis
