Title: Technology Support Technician (0.5)Application Deadline: Dec 2, 2022This position will assist the districts technology department with the maintenance, setup, preparation,deployment of technology and the day to day operations of the technology department.Job Functions and Duties:
  • Answering the helpdesk phone, assisting users when possible, submitting a helpdesk ticket on theirbehalf or adding detailed notes to their ticket
  • Monitoring the helpdesk, assigning and organizing tickets, performing helpdesk actions such asfollowing up with end users for needed information to resolve tickets, performing a checklist of actionsfor common issues to resolve them in a timely manner where applicable
  • Assisting staff with technology issues and needs where applicable
  • User password resets in various systems (Email/Google Workspace, Clever, SIS)
  • Printer toner replacement and jam clearing
  • 1:1 Device day to day program maintenance (chromebooks, laptops, ipads):
    • Temporary loaner checkout/management
    • Replacement of basic parts for 1:1 device damage (screen, bezel, battery)
    • Device check in, evaluation for damage and processing
  • Part inventory management
  • Basic troubleshooting for various systems and pieces of hardware
  • Cleaning/replacement of filters, fans, chromebooks, laptops and other yearly physical maintenance ofhardware.
  • Assist in the setup and deployment of new technology hardware such as but not limited tochromebooks, ipads, laptops, desktops, projectors, interactive flat panels, peripherals and accessories
  • Assist in infrastructure projects such as but not limited to running ethernet cabling in drop ceilings,terminating ethernet ends and patch panels
  • Other duties as assigned by the Technology Operations Manager or Technology Director
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma required
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Be able to transport self and equipment between buildings, negotiate stairs, traverse and work from a ladder, lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to be a self-starter and work independently and with a team
  • Ability to communicate effectively and precisely
  • Experience in an academic environment preferred, but not necessary
  • Must be flexible and be able to adapt to different tasks including ability and willingness to learn new and existing technologies
  • Demonstrate problem-solving, documentation, time management skills
Schedule: This position is a full-year, part time position with a flexible schedule of on/off days and/or partialdays (approximately 20-25 hours per week).
