  • Willingness to obtain technical permit for instruction of appropriate CTE courses

Job Description

This position is responsible for providing instruction and support designed to prepare students for current and future success, support work of the technology department, and facilitate communications systems in collaboration with district and school leaders.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Reports to work as scheduled on a regular and reliable basis.
  • Contribute to and implement the district’s communication protocols
  • Contribute to and implement communication systems to engage parents and community
  • Create impactful media files and publications to provide information on designated programs and activities
  • Contribute as a member of the District Technology Team
  • Assist in maintaining district website and social media under the direction of district leaders
  • Teaches District approved curriculum daily for assigned course(s).
  • Implement school or district curricular goals.
  • Be an active and contributing member to the Career and Technical Education program, including for student recruitment, expanding student opportunities, and leading education on engineering and solar careers
  • Participate in all prescribed professional development programs and activities, including but not limited to Science of Reading as directed by the district
  • Develops lesson plans, unit organizers, and instructional materials
  • Provides individualized and small group instruction to differentiate for the needs of each student daily
  • Create and maintain a classroom environment that is conducive and appropriate to learning in both appearance and activities
  • Motivate students to learn.
  • Guides the learning process toward the achievement of learning objectives and curriculum goals daily
  • Establishes clear objectives for all lessons, units, projects, etc, and communicates these objectives to students
  • Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities daily.
  • Assists students in establishing and maintaining standards of behavior to achieve an effective learning atmosphere daily
  • Progress monitor students' growth (academic/social/behavior) and report monitoring data
  • Communicate with students and parents on student progress on a continuous basis
  • Actively participates on content and/or grade level team(s) within the school
  • Participate in collegial and professional activities within the school and District
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulations
  • Respond to emergency situations for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns and /or direct to appropriate personnel for resolution.
  • Ensure that substitutes will have all information necessary for effective instruction
  • Follow state, district, and school policies and expectations
  • Other duties as assigned.
