Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Performs complex technical tasks to assist manf engineers with electronic systems. Under limited supervision, may assist engineers with fabricating and assembling electronics subassemblies for prototype models from schematics, rough sketches, and verbal instructions. Will perform calibration checks on electronic instruments, may completely troubleshoot an electronics system to determine cause and remedy for malfunctioning. May conduct routine engineering tests and detailed experimental testing, solving mechanical or electronics problems involved in the operation of the product, and otherwise assisting in general laboratory work. Will provide work leadership to lower-level technicians. May be responsible to aid in the maintenance and repair of complex equipment used in testing and manufacturing

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Ability to use practical Electronic theory, basic machine tools and work from rough sketches and schematics.

Prior experience with:

  • Complex test equipment
  • Oscilloscopes
  • Volt/Ohm meters
  • Troubleshooting circuit boards to the component (resistor/capacitor) level
  • Worked with phototyping complex equipment or assemblies

Minimum Education:

  • 2-year Electronics from military, technical school or equivalent.

Preferred Education:

  • AA in Electronics theory.

Minimum Experience:

  • 5 to 7 years of related technical experience.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Teamwork and leadership skills
  • Knowledge or ability to utilize a PLM system
  • Work well with the Software Development and Design Team

Hourly Wage is $40 per hour, depending on experience and skill level.

  • As a federal contractor, we are required to have all candidates pass a criminal background check and a multi-panel drug screening, prior to starting employment.
  • ITAR REQUIREMENTS:

Separate from employment eligibility (Form I-9), U.S. export license requirements may apply before the Company can provide certain non-“U.S. persons” with access to specific technology, software and hardware that may be necessary for a position. As such, this position may require ITAR or EAR clearance.
