The Technical Writer works cross-functionally with teams in the US and India to build product documentation and troubleshooting content. This role works with a wide range of subject matter experts and will be tenacious in seeking out the information you need to document the products. The Technical Writer will gather information from functional, architectural documents and other source information, when available, and take the initiative to fill gaps in with their knowledge, ask questions to get feedback and clarify understanding of features.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product and the documentation requirements
  • Document various artifacts such as User Guides, Administration Guides, Deployment Guides, Online help, Release Notes and FAQs
  • Produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience
  • Create tutorials to help end-users use a variety of applications
  • Express complex technical information in a clear and precise manner
  • Own and recommend best practices for the information hierarchy for product documentation, especially as the product evolves
  • Deliver documentation artifacts under tight deadlines
  • Build templates for common customer facing messages such as confirmations, errors, updates available

Requirements and Preferred Experience:

  • 1-2 years of experience authoring technical content required; 3-5 years preferred
  • Strong knowledge in Microsoft Office, Google G Suite required
  • Working knowledge in Jira , Confluence and Zendesk preferred
  • Able to communicate confidently with both technical subject matter experts and business stakeholders
  • Experience in working with and excellent knowledge of at least one authoring tool.
  • Effective written and verbal communication and leadership skills
