Southworth Products has an immediate opening for a full-time Technical Customer Service Representative to provide technical and general customer service support to our customers in support of our vertical material handling equipment via telephone and email.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high quality customer service, technical product support and parts information for a global material handling equipment manufacturer via telephone, email, and occasional visits to customer sites.
  • Resolve customer questions and provide solutions for technical issues related to the equipment.
  • Frequent collaboration with Engineering and Sales departments.
  • Review sales records, engineering documentation and warranty issues and history to ensure that high level of cost-effective customer satisfaction is maintained.
  • Prepare quotations for parts and other services as needed, maintain records for the installed base such as field modifications.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of customer service experience, preferably in the Manufacturing industry.
  • 1 -3 years’ experience working with machinery blueprints.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic systems and components.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems and components.
  • Knowledge of wiring and hydraulic schematics.
  • Familiarity and comfort with Microsoft Office 365.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills – this is a professional position that will be engaging with our dealers, distributors, and end users as well as coworkers daily.

Education:

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred or military/civilian technical school with 5 years of related experience.
  • A history of related experience, dependability, and an aptitude for the requirements of the position will also be considered.
