Technical Business Analyst

Primary Location: Hybrid in South Tulsa, OK or Remote

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a Business Analyst (BA) who will be the vital link between our clients and our development teams. BAs facilitate this connection by ensuring the successful gathering of client needs, translation from business problems to written requirements, and communication of software product’s features.

Who is qualified?

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 2+ years experience in Business/Systems Analysis, Development, or Quality Assurance preferred.
• Familiarity with:
• Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence, etc.)
• Miro
• General Requirement tracking tools
• Agile Development and Scrum Experience

What are some of the responsibilities?

• Review, analyze, and evaluate client needs to define business requirements and create systems solutions that support overall business strategies.
• Provide in-depth and sophisticated analysis with interpretive thinking to define problems, develop innovative solutions and influence strategic technical decisions.
• Document system requirements, assist in defining scope and objectives, and create application specifications/requirements that drive system development and implementation.
• Lead ongoing development business requirement grooming sessions to explore system needs from stakeholders, document any iterations, and follow up on objectives to a resolution.
• Collaborate with project managers, designers, architects, developers and others by attending meetings to design applications and systems, and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces.
• Function as a liaison between IT, SME’s, and product owners utilizing business acumen and technical expertise.
• Collaborate with the program management team responsible for development and execution of project plans by working with the project team to define, sequence, and estimate duration of activities and prepare schedules to meet project objectives.
• Ensure program management and business stakeholders understand risks and impacts of requests on the project, associated applications, and other business units.
• Refine requirements (user stories) so they are readily consumable by software developers.
• Lead the development of functional and non-functional business requirements and translation into product requirements.
• Evaluate new IT developments and evolving business requirements and recommend appropriate systems alternatives and/or enhancements to current systems by analyzing business processes, systems and industry standards.
• Assist in the designing, documentation and maintaining of processes.
• Report on common sources of technical issues or questions, communicate key insights and findings, and make recommendations to the product team.
• Constantly be on the lookout for ways to improve monitoring, discover issues and deliver better value to the customer.
