Full Job Description for LPN or RN:

General Description

The LPN or RN position requires you to work collaboratively with our providers including resident physicians and physician assistants. Salina Family Healthcare Center utilizes a team-based concept for patient medical appointments. Each team is comprised of one or more Faculty Physicians, a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd year Resident, a non-Faculty medical provider, an LPN or RN and a Medical Assistant. The team-based approach improves access and continuity of care by the providers and teams to their patients. The nurse assists many doctors who have individual methods of practice, making detailed instructions difficult. The nurse is responsible for carrying out the instructions of the doctor for whom he/she is assigned and should at all times attempt to anticipate his/her doctor’s needs for nursing assistance. This position will require OSHA training and will be subject to blood and other bodily fluids. In accordance with HIPAA regulations, this position requires full access to Protected Health Information (PHI). Such disclosure is necessary to perform the requirements of the job. Confidentiality of PHI must be maintained. This position is a 40 hour work week, staffing sessions may be re-arranged in order to prevent overtime; half days off are at the request of the organization.
