South Shore Early Education, a program of the South Shore Community Action Council - a private non-profit providing multi-level program support on the South Shore, Cape Cod, and the Islands, seeks a full-time certified Teacher Assistant candidate, 35 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.
POSITION: 35 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
Core Responsibilities:
Assist classroom teachers in creating and maintaining a safe and healthy physical environment that fosters young children's physical, emotional, and cognitive development. Perform teaching activities under the teacher's supervision, while assuming a lead role in working with varying groups of children. Meal assistance, bus monitoring, and other various activities as assigned.
Core Qualifications:
Massachusetts DEEC Teacher Certification required & related experience of a minimum of two years in a preschool or similar program. AA/AS degree preferred, or in process in early education or related field, or CDA in process or completed. Bi-lingual (Portuguese, Arabic, or Spanish) is preferred although not required.

- All candidates must undergo a CORI, DCF, SORI, and fingerprint background check before beginning employment.

- Valid MA state driver’s license.
