We are looking for a passionate instructional leader who is interested in providing leadership to the school intervention programming for reading. This position also provides instructional coaching and support to teachers. We are committed to developing a team of effective educators who are dedicated to closing the achievement gap in a high-need, diverse community of learners and this position is critical to meeting that commitment. We are privileged to serve students from the Ute Mountain Ute Tribe and the Navajo Tribe, which contributes greatly to the cultural richness of our community and schools.


Position Summary:
The Reading Intervention Teacher is responsible for managing and in some cases providing the school’s intervention programming for reading in compliance with the READ act. The Teacher for Intervention may also provide instructional coaching to teachers to improve Tier I instruction in reading.


Managing Intervention Programming for Reading and READ act compliance

  • Manage READ Act compliance for the school including supporting teachers in accessing and utilizing data needed to create and monitor READ plans for students;
  • Manage and/or provide required reading intervention programming to support identified students;


Provide Instructional Coaching and Support to Teachers

  • Provide instructional coaching to select teachers on reading best practices in Tier I instruction upon Principal request;
  • Provide support to teachers on best practices in reading interventions.
  • Support teachers in weekly data meetings or RTI meetings upon Principal request.


Candidate Profile


Education and Certification:


  • Teacher’s License for Colorado (Required)
  • Master’s degree (Preferred)


Experience and Skills:


  • Excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrated excellence in reading and math instruction
  • Instructional leadership or coaching experience preferred
  • Experience in Get Better Faster Framework preferred
  • High level of personal organization and planning
  • Technology proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint
