The Tank Farm Operator responsibilities listed below are intended to describe the general purpose and responsibilities assigned to this job and are not an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties, and skills that may be required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Tank Farm Operators are responsible for the daily operations of the truck and railcar loading and unloading at the 225 facility and will report to the Tank Farm Manager. Operators’ duties will include, but aren’t limited to, the following:

• Load/Unloading trucks and railcars
• Sampling tanks, trucks, railcars
• Tank transfers
• Tank decants
• Unloading drums or boxes
• Operate Boiler to steam tanks and railcars
• Load / Unload Railcars
• Use of overflow equipment / devices
• Truck to truck transfers
• Operate Vapor Combustion Unit
• General plant upkeep to include custodial duties
• Interacting with drivers and coworkers in a respectable manner
• Performing all tasks in a safe and cautious manner
• Following direction from shift supervisors or superiors
• Following safety procedures and standard operating procedures at all times
• Other duties as assigned

Products you will encounter:

• Most hydrocarbon and low flash products
• Various chemicals
• Hazardous and non-hazardous wastes
• Oily water
• Cleaners and Degreasers
• Handle products that are primarily flammable
• Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S)

Materials and services offered by Intergulf Corporation require high level of awareness and attention to detail. Tank Farm Operators and new employees will receive training in the proper handling and procedures associated with the products handled and services offered. After training period, employees of Intergulf must have the ability to physically perform his/her duties within reason without assistance.
Skill Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred
• Strong work ethic, available as needed
• Must be fully committed to following PSM and safety procedures program
• Ability to learn and adapt to changing operating conditions

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to pass physical (requirements to be determined)
• Be able to pass a Respirator Fit test
• Be able to pass a Basic Plus safety class at HASC, in English
• Be able to pass a HAZWOPER training class
• Be able to climb stairs and/or ladders and pass a Functional Strength Evaluation
• Be able to lift and/or drag 3" or larger hose
• Be able to meet the fall protection requirements
• Be able to stand and work on your feet for the majority of your shift (less breaks)
• Be able to work outside in any weather condition, if given appropriate attire

Training Requirements

• Be able to pass a Respirator Fit Test (RFT)/Pulmonary Function Test (PFT)
• Be able to pass a Basic Plus safety class at HASC, in English
• Be able to pass a HASWOPER training class
