SUMMARY

The Talent Acquisition Manager is responsible for full life-cycle recruiting:  recruiting, screening and recommending placement of staff by using creative sourcing methods (internal and external). Develop recruiting strategies in support of organizational staffing goals. Execute recruiting strategies to deliver appropriate job candidates for assigned positions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

STRATEGY

  • Partners with hiring manager to determine staffing needs
  • Determine recruitment requirements by evaluating organizational development plans
  • Assess assigned positions to develop job descriptions and job candidate profiles.
  • Develop effective recruiting plans and strategies
  • Works collaboratively with departments to develop advertising/communications (internal and external) to ensure high visibility with potential candidates
  • Keep current with sourcing strategies and industry trends
  • Maintains memberships and affiliations with trade/professional organizations related to industry
  • Ensures Diversity, Equity and Inclusion practices are utilized to source best-in-class candidates internally and externally.
  • Develops and maintains an excellent relationship with internal and external partners to ensure achievement of staffing goals.

SOURCING & SCREENING

  • Serves as an expert for recruiting internal and external candidates for all departments of the organization
  • Uses traditional and nontraditional resources, such as career fairs, online job fairs, community network events, etc., to identify and attract quality candidates
  • Screens resumes, interviews candidates (by phone or in person), administers appropriate assessments
  • Communicates important employment information during delivery of employment offers (e.g., benefits, compensation, contingencies)
  • Follows up with candidates and hiring managers to obtain feedback regarding recruiting process

COMPLIANCE

  • Conduct reference/background checks
  • Ensures regulatory aspects of the full cycle recruitment practices are compliant with federal and state laws
  • Manages application/resume file and retention according to company policy
  • Works with hiring managers to ensure compliance with all federal/state laws and regulations
  • Extends offers of employment within company policy procedures
  • Participates in On-Boarding and Off-Boarding activities as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors’ Degree in education, communications, human resources, preferred but not required. Course work in human resources preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in talent acquisition/youth development staff recruiting, preferably supporting a multi-site organization
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve recruiting goals of organization
  • Demonstrated leadership in maintaining positive associate relations
  • Strong commitment to the goals and philosophy of Boys & Girls Clubs of Sonoma-Marin and the ability to communicate those goals and agency values to Team Members, applicants and community contacts
  • Commands a working knowledge of HR technology applications/platforms and MS Office to support recruitment, efficient workflows and integration w/other organizational technology.
  • Travel to affiliate locations, local events with in the Sonoma & Marin Counties, about 35% of time
  • Must provide own vehicle, have a valid state driver’s license and proof of auto insurance

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
