Discovery Land Company is seeking a Recruiting Coordinator to join the Human Resources Team at the Scottsdale Arizona Corporate Office. The ideal candidate will bring extensive professional experience and an adaptable outlook to our fast paced and changing environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assists with job postings and advertisement process
  • Schedule interviews and follow-ups
  • Manage application intake, making sure each candidate has a single profile and is matched to the right job
  • Manage the offer approval process and draft letters for formal offers to candidates
  • Support candidates hired through our onboarding process, helping ensure they’re ready to start at Discovery Land Company and Discovery Builders
  • Act as a resource for new hires as they become familiar with the Discovery family
  • Maintain regular contact, responsiveness, and accessibility with candidate connections to relationship build, sustain rapport, and address questions/concerns
  • Provide general administrative support to our Talent Acquisition leaders and teams
  • Oversee new hire background process, conduct reference checks
  • Processing new hire paperwork/Conduct new hire orientations and provide onboarding support
  • Help implement recruiting tools and processes to improve the candidate and hiring team experience
  • Help manage onsite recruiting events, interviews, and meetings
  • Assist with ad-hoc recruiting/HR projects and coordination
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple demands and meet deadlines; be detailed and organized
  • Proven ability to handle high levels of pressure and critical decision-making
  • Excellent ability to effectively communicate and interpersonal skills, including ability to manage communications and working relationships within the organization
  • Highly motivated with an enquiring mind and passion for excellence
  • Support the talent acquisition team as backup during vacations, absences or as needed

Skills and Qualifications

  • 3 years of relevant Administrative/Recruiting experience
  • Experience working in full cycle recruitment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent time management and organization skills
  • Ability to meet constant deadlines and deliver results with high attention to quality and detail
  • Ability to work with a diverse staff
  • Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines
  • Ability to listen and respond to multiple players, providing feedback and recommendations as required to most effectively meet project needs.
  • Talent assessment capabilities – identifying and calibrating competencies and soft-skills development in others
  • Seeks professional development for self and others
  • Familiarity with an ATS platform
  • Familiarity with a scheduling platform
  • Experience working with remote teams in different time zones
  • Experience working with hiring managers and adapting sourcing strategies to match the need of the team
