We’re looking for an energetic Recruiting or Staffing Coordinator to organize and execute work as a member of the Talent Acquisition Team.

Responsibilities:
Collaborates with senior management, Human Resources, and other key partners to innovate the acquisition elements of a Talent Management Strategy in order to meet the current and future needs of the Laboratory. Transforms recruiting from reactive to a proactive hiring function. Aligns talent and business goals. Promotes the Laboratory's image and employment brand. Proactively builds applicant pipelines to meet current and future business needs. Sources networks of talent to support a strong and diverse pipeline of qualified candidates. Sources, engages, and hires college talent for internships and entry-level positions. Develops strategic workforce planning. Communicates the employer value proposition. Ensures positive applicant relationship management. Uses data analytics to inform business decisions. Pre-screens resumes and evaluates effectiveness of electronic candidate evaluation tools. Documents requirements of job openings, candidate evaluation and interview process. Negotiates and/ or supports hiring manager in developing new hire compensation package/ offers utilizing total rewards techniques. Works with agencies, recruiting contractors and/or internet website representatives, along with key internal communications partners, in the course of conducting employment advertising campaigns. Provides performance feedback on all recruiting agencies/sources; determines appropriate resources for advertising and posting positions. Provides training and guidance on the hiring process. Those entering this career series may be tasked with more tactical functions such as working with recruiters, candidates and managers to ensure all required pre-hire tasks are completed and compliant with requirements set forth by PNNL and with an understanding of the underlying OFCCP requirements. May complete data requests, reports and analyses as requested.

The Talent Acquisition Coordinator will support and assist Recruiters and Hiring Leaders with the following:
  • Maintain and complete the staff requisition process and filing.
  • Place internal and external job postings as appropriate.
  • Work with hiring manager to obtain appropriate information to manage job requisitions.
  • Work with appropriate contacts for background checks and security clearances as necessary.
  • Manage all Applicant Tracking System activity
  • Provide support to managers, supervisors, and recruiters to ensure application of recruitment practices, programs, policies and regulations
  • Ensure that job requisition files comply with the requirements set forth by PNNL with an understanding of the underlying OFCCP and legal requirements and maintain electronic documentation.
  • Generate associated letters such as offer, acceptance.
  • Facilitate the new hire orientation scheduling with HR core staff and support organizations.
  • Enter recruiting data into HR systems, run, and interpret various reports.
  • Provide guidance and training to other administrative staff as needed.
  • Represent PNNL-Battelle in the best possible manner to external and internal applicants.
  • Interface with all levels of PNNL/Battelle management as well as external contact with potential job candidates/ applicants.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma/GED and 6 years of relevant work experience -OR-
  • AA or higher and 4 years of relevant work experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience with ATS, CRM or recruiting database.
  • Prior experience with iCIMS (Applicant Track)
  • Understand office support functions and possess the ability to effectively apply procedures, work independently, and direct workflow of others as appropriate.
  • Ability to: use discretion and good judgment; independently make decisions; positively interact with a wide-variety of PNNL staff and clients at all levels; resolve and/or advise management on a wide range of administrative issues; provide training and guidance to less senior or new staff when necessary.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate proficient use of standard office equipment; demonstrate proficient use of MS Office suite; prioritize work, and coordinate calendars/schedules; be responsible for commitments and action items.
  • Ability to identify potential administrative problems/areas for continuous improvement and recommend solutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to act in ambiguous situations and demonstrate problem solving skills.
