Job Title: Table Games Dealer

General Description: Deal casino table games as assigned in order to provide a courteous and entertaining experience for all guests and generate revenue for the department.

Supervision Received: Tables Games Floor Supervisor

Supervision Exercised: None

Essential Job Functions:

  • Deal table games and perform mathematic calculations mentally at such a level of speed and accuracy to maintain the entertainment value of the game for customers while dealing to Chickasaw Nation Department of Commerce (CNDC) standards to include, but not limited to counting card values and monetary win/loss
  • Escalate problematic customer issues to the Floor Supervisor to provide a timely resolution to ensure maximum level of customer satisfaction
  • Maintain security of games and monies by remaining at the assigned table and keeping visual contact with customers, game layout and chip rack at all times
  • Provide instructions to guest when requested or as assigned in order to encourage gaming activity
  • Coordinate with Casino Operations and Surveillance to detect and prevent attempts to cheat and to identify floor irregularities to ensure game integrity and protection
  • Clean assigned area by aligning seats close to tables, emptying ash trays, and disposing of trash with goal of maximizing customer satisfaction with facility cleanliness
  • Conform to internal controls and adhere to proper dealing procedures as set forth by CNDC based on knowledge of applicable rules and regulations of the National Indian Gaming Commission (NIGC) and established policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Must be able to perform mathematic calculations mentally at such a speed and accuracy level as to maintain the entertainment value of the game for customers while adhering to compliance standards to include, but not limited to counting card values and monetary win/loss.
  • Ability to assist customers by enhancing their entertainment experience.
  • Must be friendly with an outgoing personality.
  • Must be able to follow all instructions, whether written or verbal.
  • Must be able to work in an environment where second hand smoke is present.

Training and Experience:

  • Must successfully complete CNDC dealing school.

Licenses/Certifications/Other:

  • Must be able to pass background check and receive a gaming license from the Chickasaw Nation Office of the Gaming Commission as required to work in gaming operations.
  • Must be able to complete pre-employment drug test with a negative result.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to sit, stand, or walk for prolonged periods of time.
  • Must be able to deal games whether seated or standing for prolonged periods. This may include reaching, bending, and repetitive movements.

Work Environment:

  • Must tolerate occasional exposure to loud noises, dust dirt and second hand smoke.
  • Must be able to work with the public with ability to handle difficult situations.
  • May work in areas where temperatures fluctuate, have poor ventilation or areas where smoking may be allowed.
  • May have to work in high traffic areas or places where people congregate.
  • May experience extreme weather conditions on the job as well as on the way to and from specific job sites.
  • Work may require exposure to second hand smoke, flashing lights, and loud noises.
  • Must have the ability to work in an “open office” type setting which mandates a professional, discreet demeanor.
