Under the direction of the Manager of IT Operations Systems Management, provide technical support responsibilities for various windows operating systems and hardware platforms. This role is responsible for supporting UCLA Health, UC Health shared infrastructure, Family Practice Group, and the School Of Dentistry's Electronic Health Record infrastructure. To date, the supported environment consists of over 5,000+virtualservers.

Major functions include design, build, implementation, and support of server infrastructure (WindowsOS, DNS, Printing, server hardware, patching, anti-virus, etc). Responsible for the day-to-day7x24 operational support, trouble tickets, system maintenance, system configuration, and adhering to standard operating procedures within IT Operations, including staff training and documentation. Role functions also include, but are not limited to participating in the design, design validation, installation, performance monitoring, optimization, troubleshooting, and maintenance of a variety of systems, various Windows operating systems, and hardware platforms. Participate in the weekly rotational after-hours on-call support. Available for after-hours on-call 24x7 support.

This role requires the employee to be on-site as needed, and within 2 hours of notice.

Salary range: $89900.00-$216700.00 Annual

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
1. Knowledge of Microsoft Networking, Active Directory, AD Group Policies, and Windows Security
2. Ability to monitor and report on management systems
3. Knowledge of Microsoft Windows 2008, 2012, 2016 and 2019 Server
4. Understanding of Microsoft Exchange and messaging environment
5. Knowledge of Microsoft SQL
6. Knowledge of DNS, DHCP, WINS and TCP/IP
7. Able to prepare detailed project plans, presentations, procedures, diagrams and other technical documentation
8. Must participate in the weekly on-call rotation for after-hours support
9. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as in a team environment
10. Ability to research and test new technologies and processes
11. Establish standards and procedures for best practices, enabling commitments to established SLA’s.
12. Demonstrated ability to develop creative solutions to complex problems.
13. Knowledge of Microsoft SCCM
14. Understanding of virtual environment, such as VMWare ESX and Hyper-V
15. Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
16. Ability to communicate the status of various systems to management and/or support personnel.
17. Ability to skillfully react to a fluid and constantly changing work environment.
18. Ability to train, delegate and review the work of lower level staff
19. Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments
20. Strong technical leadership abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
21. Knowledge of Cisco UCS and HP hardware
22. Knowledge of PKI infrastructure and SSL certificate
23. Knowledge of Windows clustering
24. Knowledge of Microsoft print infrastructure
25. Be able to rack and stack servers/appliances in the data center
26. Knowledge of scriptings such as Powershell or .vbs
27. Knowledge of automation tools such as Terraform, Chef or puppet
