We are hiring a Full-Time Systems and Applications Technician to join the UTHealth School of Public health at the El Paso Regional Campus in El Paso, TX. In this position, you would provide technical assistance to users for base software, security products, and desktop applications, along with advanced knowledge in software programs, macro development, and report generation to design, implement, and maintain complex databases and spreadsheets.

Position Summary:
Provides technical assistance to users for base software, security products, and desktop applications, along with advanced knowledge utilizing software programs, macro development, and report generation to design, implement, and maintain complex databases and spreadsheets.
Position Key Accountabilities:
- Provides expert technical knowledge with installing, configuring, maintaining, repairing, and supporting desktop computers, software, applications, and other equipment in a networked environment.
- Provides advanced troubleshoot desktop services and systems.
- Acts as a technical resource for users and provides training to users for a core computer and applications skills.
- Documents requests and resolutions.
- Participates in rollouts, deployments, migrations, and upgrades as necessary.
- Maintains records on all department equipment and system protocols.
- Serves as an information resource regarding personal computer hardware, software, and related applications.
- Provide advanced software support to customers.
- May be responsible for telecommunication services' operation, access, and maintenance.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Certification/Skills:
- Microsoft A+ certification preferred, Active Directory and Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager
Minimum Education:
- Associates degree or relevant work experience instead of education.
Minimum Experience:
- One year of related experience
Physical Requirements: Exerts up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 20 pounds constantly to move objects. Security Sensitive: This job class may contain positions that are security sensitive and thereby subject to the provisions of Texas Education Code § 51.215
