Summary:
The System Director-Revenue Integrity serves as the System lead for compliant and accurate charge capture, providing guidance and oversight of Charge Description Master (CDM) integrity and charge capture/review practices. Serving as a liaison between the Revenue Integrity department and revenue generating areas, this position is responsible for promoting the financial viability of the organization by bringing industry best practices for effective management of the revenue capture process. The System Director promotes educational support to technical charge capture systems and departments, supporting applicable processes and workflows to ensure timely and accurate recording of revenue in accordance with all applicable governmental and institutional standards, bylaws, rules and regulations. This role plays an integral role in operational success, providing valuable feedback and knowledge shared with operational leadership relative to charge trigger mechanisms, controls and reconciliation. The System Director monitors daily operations to ensure all System revenue related metrics are met and/or exceeded.

Qualifications:
Education

Bachelor’s degree in business management, business administration, or finance is required.

Master's degree in business management, business administration, or finance is preferred.

Experience

2 years of Revenue Integrity or Coding experience is required.

2 years of Epic EHR (Electronic Health Record) is required.

5 years of progressive leadership experience or equivalent is required.

5 years of Revenue Cycle related experience (i.e. Coding, CDI (Clinical Documentation Improvement), CDM (Charge Data Master), PFS (Patient Financial Services)) is required.

Extensive knowledge of laws and regulations pertaining to the healthcare industry is required.

Hospital Billing (HB) experience is strongly preferred.

Experience working in an integrated healthcare delivery organization is preferred. Experience in clinical healthcare provider settings as well as professional billing experience is preferred.

Certifications, Licenses and Registrations

Revenue Integrity, Billing and/or Coding related certification is required.

Certified Healthcare Compliance (CHC) is preferred. Applicable clinical or professional certifications and licenses such as LVN (Licensed Vocational Nurse), RN (Registered Nurse), RT (Respiratory Therapist), MT (Medical Transcription), RPH (Registered Pharmacist), CPC-H (Certified Professional Coder-Hospital), CCS (Certified Coding Specialist), are highly desirable.
