Summary

The Rochelle Park District is seeking swim lesson instructors to develop and instruct fun, energetic, and safe

lessons. District currently follows the American Red Cross Learn to Swim Curriculum. Position offers flexible

schedule.

Qualifications

• Enjoys working with and teaching others

• Passionate about swimming

• Experience teaching swim lessons

• Understanding of safety, body functions, facility rules, policies, and procedures

Essential Functions

• To provide instruction that significantly contributes to swimmer’s skill improvement and health and safety

• Set-up and help maintain facility and equipment.

• Monitor and record class attendance

• Arrive early to prepare for class and stay after class to answer participant’s questions as needed.

• Establish and maintain good communication with swimmers/parents.

• Maintain a positive attitude and act in a professional manner when interacting with patrons, program

• Continue to brainstorm new class ideas

Marginal Functions

• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
