Surgical Physician Assistant Job at Symphony Medical, PC
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 3 years first assist or if new candidate recently completed a surgical residency.
LOCATION: Southern Westchester County, New York.
JOB SUMMARY: Excellent opportunity for experienced PA to work in a hospital-based surgical practice. Function under the supervision of supervising attending surgeon on each of the following services listed below. Staff PAs comprise the surgical house-staff and as part of the attending MD/PA team, PAs are involved in the total care of the surgical patient from admission to discharge.
- First Assistant in a variety of specialties: Bariatric, General, Head & Neck, OBGYN, Orthopedic, Vascular, Plastics, Neurosurgery, and Thoracic.
- DaVinci Robot experience a plus but not necessary as we will train.
- Morning rounds.
- Pre-op and Post-op surgical patients.
- History and Physicals on routine and emergent admissions.
- Perform surgical consultations.
SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:
- 3 years of first assist surgical experience or new candidate recently completed a surgical residency.
- Excellent suturing technique.
- Comfortable working independently performing invasive procedures ie. central lines, arterial lines, chest tubes, dialysis catheters, incision and drainage.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Strong work ethic.
Active Board NP/PA Certification REQUIRED!
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $136,500.00 - $157,750.00 per year
