At Advanced Endoscopy & Surgical Center, LLC we provide our patients with endoscopic procedures such as gastroscopy, esophageal dilatation, colonoscopy and polypectomy, which visualize and treat conditions of the esophagus, stomach or small and large intestine without the need or inconvenience of a hospital stay. We offer patients a more convenient, comfortable and safe alternative for their gastroenterology needs.

We are currently searching for Full Time Surgery Scheduler to work Mondays – Fridays who can work cooperatively with staff and physicians and perform a variety of tasks. Major responsibilities include: data entry; scheduling; check-in; maintaining charts and other administrative duties; must have ability to multi-task.

POSITION SUMMARY:

• Scheduler coordinates, enters data, and schedules surgical procedures in a timely manner
• Maintains master schedule to ensure coordination between Physicians and Anesthesia
• Schedules and coordinates block schedules between Surgery Center and Physician's offices
• Maintains OR efficiency by maintaining fluid block schedule to eliminate any down time
• Gathers all required detailed information for the patient's chart and enters all patient information in the computer system
• Completes accurate documentation; i.e., Consents, H&P’s, Clearances, Insurances, etc.
• Has the strong ability to multi-task and work independently in a timely manner
• Confers with the Director of Nursing, Charge Nurse and/or Administrator to determine status of scheduled surgeries. Alters schedules to meet unforeseen changes
• Provides relief for the front business office, Receptionist and all other business functions, as needed
• Cross-trained to fill in and effectively perform all other job descriptions
• Interacts and communicates appropriately and effectively with all Patients, Physicians, Referring Practices, Pre-Op Nurses, Billing Department, etc.
• This position requires a Strong Reasoning Ability and Computer Skills
