Position Summary: Reporting directly to the Plant Manager (operational) with indirect reporting to the Senior Director, OEM Business & Production Control (functional), the SCM Manager will have overall SCM operational and tactical responsibility and manage the flow of product from raw materials to finished goods within the plant. This includes purchasing and managing the delivery of raw materials, scheduling the production that transforms raw materials into Work In Process (WIP) and finished goods, and managing the shipment of these goods to our customers. The SCM Manager will be responsible for measuring and maintaining a certain number of Days on Hand (DOH) of Raw Materials, WIP and Finished Goods. The SCM Manager will additionally be responsible for Production Scheduling.


KEY TASKS

  • Coordinate and effectively manage cost of direct and indirect material purchases
  • Establish goals and maintain an DOH inventory of raw, WIP and Finished Goods
  • Oversee the purchase of production material such as glass, paint, vinyl, clips
  • Ensure that all purchasing activities are managed within budget, maintaining the highest level of ethics
  • Approve and manage core supplier sourcing
  • Enforce process and procedural compliance in terms and conditions, supplier quality, TS, IATF and ISO
  • Define the purchasing and material supply processes in the operating units together with the business unit managers
  • Establish, manage, and evaluate supply chain metrics
  • Oversee the Production Scheduling for SL Preprocessing, BT furnace, Laminated Side Glass, Windshield and Assembly areas
  • Verify capacity when there are changes to customer demands or new parts being quoted
  • Partner with Finance on inventory control efforts
  • Effectively manage individual and team development, succession planning, performance evaluations and global peer reviews


REQUIREMENTS

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain/Logistics or Business Administration required

Years of Experience:

  • 5+ years of purchasing and/or supply chain experience with progressive levels of responsibility

Other Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Regular and predictable attendance required.
  • Reliant on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
