Function: Supplier Quality Manager

Report: Agrati Inc. Quality Director

Main Responsibilities:

  • - Coordinating suppliers and verifying quality standards in accordance with the requirements of the organization.
  • - Perform regular supplier audits to ensure compliance with regulatory standards, as well as participate in strategic development based on quality control plans.
  • - Actively manage the supply chain, serve as the liaison for suppliers, suggest structural quality and process improvements
  • - Collaborate with Quality Managers and other Engineers in a team environment.

1. Tasks and responsibilities

Purpose: People / Team under his direct responsibility/other colleagues

  • - Work with plant supplier / incoming inspection quality to monitor the quality of incomings
  • - Work with Purchasing to ensure supplier performance is regularly reported
  • - Assist in the development and implementation of supplier management programs and KPI's.
  • - Report supplier performance and quality to management.
  • - Track and qualify or disqualify suppliers according to the organization's standards.
  • - Aide manufacturing in the evaluation and qualification of new supplier materials
  • - Maintain successful relationships with quality, engineering, and manufacturing departments.
  • - Drive "zero defect" mentality within the suppliers base.
  • - Support the customer quality as well as the plant quality in case of customer complaints caused by suppliers
  • - Supervise the management of any "A" concerns caused by suppliers, be on site for any verification may be needed to close the matter

Quality :

  • - In co-ordination with the Quality Director, supervise the process to understand, update, manage and implement the QMS documentation (quality manual, procedures, instructions, internal standards, etc.) in accordance with IATF 16949.
  • - In coordination with Customer Quality, meet the quality requirements of the market and customers in order to update the Agrati Inc. SQM
  • - Manage the suppliers audits process to verify the degree of application of the SQM and ensure that appropriate corrective actions are taken following any shortcomings highlighted.
  • - Periodically (at least yearly) report to the Company on what emerged from the inspections.
  • - Supervise and assist clients and Certification Bodies in their audits at the various AGRATI Group facilities (eg: process audits, certifications, etc.)

Customers: Internal / External

With suppliers:

  • Conduct supplier audits to drive process standardization and continuous improvement efforts.
  • - Ensure a process of management and transfer of customer quality requirements (implicit and explicit) and ensure that these requirements are known and applied by the Agrati Inc. suppliers
  • - Identify technical problems with suppliers and implement corrective actions.
  • - Prepare, update and promote "process" management in collaboration with each area / department, defining relationships with suppliers
  • - Ensure confidentiality on the outside of the company regarding information, data and property rights of customers and suppliers.

2. REPORTING & COMMUNICATION

Internal communication

With the Quality Director of Agrati Inc.

  • The Quality System Manager reports directly to the Quality Director of Agrati Inc. and proposes solutions and actions regarding the adjustment or improvement of the quality system.
  • Ensure detailed reports on internal and external audits.

With colleagues:

  • Develop constructive relationships with colleagues, respecting the values of the Group.
  • Periodically inform the organization about the findings of the audits carried out.
  • Support the various business areas involved from time to time in the management of quality issues.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Business/Engineering or related field. TS16949/VDA 6.3 knowledge required.

Experience and Background:

Minimum of five years experience with preventive quality systems plus five years of management level experience. Knowledge of principles and applications of statistical methods including statistical problem solving is required. Highly developed written and verbal communication skills are also required.
