Title of Position:

Summer School Building Administrators (2 positions)-MHS & Goodnow

Effective Dates of Employment:

July 5, 2022 - August 4, 2022

Summer programs are held M-Th each week from 8am-1pm at MHS and 8:30am-1:30pm at Goodnow with the exception of the weeks of July 18th & July 25th which will run M-F 8:30am- 3:00pm due to Camp Invention.

Compensation:

$1,500 per week (except for Camp Invention weeks July 18-22 and 25-29 which will be $1,875 per week).

Organizational Relationships:

Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning and Assistant Superintendent of Student Services and Equity

Statement of Duties:

Assume responsibility for the management of all summer school programs remote and in-person for Grades K-12 (Post-Grad) assigned to building, including but not limited to:

• Troubleshooting and ensuring safety of all students and staff in building.
• Ensuring all payroll activities and procedures are followed.
• Supervising students and staff.
• Troubleshooting procedural practices if necessary.
• Conducting safety drills at the sites to ensure compliance and safety.
• Adjusting staffing and schedules as needed, include arranging substitutes.
• Coordinating attendance records.
• Reviewing staff correspondence to families.
• Overseeing transportation of students and issues related to transportation.
• Consultation with all program coordinators prior to and at the start of summer programming.

Qualifications:

• Current DESE certification as an Administrator.
• Familiarity with building and/or building operations is beneficial Master’s or higher earned academic degree.
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable.
