SUBSTITUTE LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE (LPN) Job at Cape May County Special Services School District

Cape May County Special Services School District (CMCSSSD) is seeking an experienced LPN to fill job opening. The ideal candidate will possess a current LPN license with excellent clinical skills. This person will work under the supervision of our school nurses at CMCSSSD.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with implementation of the nursing care plan
- Carries out policies of the CMCSSSD as appropriate.
- Completes, maintains and submits accurate clinical records and prepares reports, as needed
- Utilizes community relationships to contribute to a better public understanding of Agency services.
- Provides emergency treatments as directed and indicated.
- Performs selected nursing procedures in keeping with licensures, such as administration of medications and treatments.
- Observes, records and reports to the appropriate person, patient’s symptoms, reactions, and changes in the condition as indicated.
SKILLS:
- Minimum of one year Licensed Practical Nursing experience in community nursing or medical-surgical/hospital setting required.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in written format at all levels.
- Ability to interact with and relate to the problems and difficulties associated with the aging process.
- Able to provide direct care tasks according to the established patient plan of care and under the supervision of an RN.
