    1-Year Colorado Substitute Authorization License

    Full-Day $100.00 for the first 20 days in the school year before December 1, then 120.00 a day after

    • ½ Day $50

    **Long Term Rate: $120.00

    A one-year substitute authorization requires you to hold a high school diploma or its equivalent and have a fingerprint-based history on file with CDE.

    3-Year Colorado Substitute Authorization

    Full-Day: $125.00 for the first 20 days in the school year before December 1, then $145.00 a day after.

    • ½ Day: 62.50

    **Long Term Rate: $145.00 a day

    A 3-year substitute authorization requires you to hold an earned bachelor's or higher degree from an accepted, regionally accredited college or university and have a fingerprint-based history on file with CDE.

    5-Year Colorado Substitute Authorization Licence or Colorado Teaching License

    Full-Day:150.00 for the first 20 days in the school year before December 1, then 170 a day

    • ½ Day: 75.00

    **Long Term Rate: $170.00

    A 5-year substitute authorization requires you to hold a current or expired Colorado teacher license/certificate or a current out-of-state teacher license/certificate and have a current finger-print based background on file with CDE.

    Retired PreK - 12 Public School Educators (Must have a 5-year Colorado Substitute Authorization License or a Colorado Teaching License)

    Full-Day:175.00

    • ½ Day: 90.00

    **Long Term Rate: $200 a day

    A Retired Educator substitute authorization requires you to hold a current or expired Colorado teacher license/certificate or a current out-of-state teacher license/certificate and have a current finger-print based background on file with CDE.

    Benefits Include: Accrued Sick Leave, The district will pay a mileage fee of $15.00 per day of substituting to Guest Teachers that must drive from outside Fremont County, eligibility for $300 stipend through the Colorado Department of Education. https://www.unco.edu/colorado-center-for-rural-education/

    Qualifications and Skills:

    • Must have a Sub Authorization License or Teaching License from CDE

    • Possess skills to be able to utilize basic technology as directed by the District to communicate and function effectively as a 21st-century employee.
    • Ability to work cooperatively in a school atmosphere with staff members, students and the public

    • Ability to work in a collaborative environment

    Responsibilities/Duties:

    • Follow lesson plans as left by the educator who is absent
    • Manage the classroom and keep students safe
    • Follow guidelines as shared in the Substitute Handbook
