The Student Records Coordinator supports the Siena College Registrar's office and serves as the manager of all student academic records.


Responsibilities:

Support and implement the student records management policies for the College's Registrar's office.
Coordinate the transition of the current records system to the new file management system. Serve as the primary contact once the system is implemented
Serve as the main contact for E-transcripts with the National Student Clearinghouse, and work with the Assistant Registrar to trouble-shoot any systematic issues
Serves as College's primary School Certifying Official (SCO) in accordance with US Department of Veterans Affairs requirements
Process veteran affairs enrollment certifications for eligible students by coordination with applicable College departments and ensuring all benefits and related documentation including certification forms and status change forms are processed timely and accurately.
Process exceptions, substitutions, and waivers with oversight from the Associate Registrar
Assist the Assistant registrar with the coordination of record maintenance, advanced placement and transfer credit posting.
Accurately process all student changes in a timely fashion to maintain data integrity in the student academic record
Maintenance of record archives
Other duties as assigned.


Job Requirements:


Qualifications:

Education/Experience

A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required. An Associate's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred
1 to 3+ years of experience as an Administrative Assistant
Knowledge of Veteran Education Benefits, certifying the enrollment status of students utilizing their VA benefits, and VA Once
Any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills/Abilities

Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Proficiency in Banner student database preferred.
Well-developed oral and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
Flexibility to learn new methodologies, technologies and systems.
Ability to handle a high pressure environment with significant timeline pressures.
Able to interact with employees, students and outside contacts of all levels, providing excellent customer service.
Ability to work independently and with a team as well as with various constituents

A background screening will be required.
