Student & Family Assistance Specialist Job at Lakewood Local School District
JOB GOAL: To assist the building administration with various tasks including scheduling, conferencing with students, academic selection, educational options as well as individual and group counseling.PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: 1.Provide consultation and intervention regarding behavior management, effective education and assessment of social/emotional needs of students.2.Possess the ability to conduct a functional behavior assessment and design and implement a behavior intervention plan.3.Facilitate individual, family and/or group counseling programs.4.Serve as a member of the building IEP, ETR and MTSS teams.5.Prepare written reports as needed by the building or district on outside agencies.6.Consult with school staff on behavior management techniques and information on specific student needs.7.Provide parent support through programs or consultation regarding child development and behavior management techniques.8.Serve as a link to families and community resources.9.Perform any of the performance responsibilities as listed in the job description of the Guidance Counselor.10.Perform any duties as assigned by the building Principal.
