Job Description
This position is responsible for developing, coordinating and monitoring financial outreach activities to students with debts to the University. Actively follows up to collect University receivables. These include calling campaigns/Preview presentations. Coordinates customer care activities of the department.

Knowledge, skills and abilities
Working knowledge of basic bookkeeping/accounting principles and practices. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated experience to perform detailed work with numerical data and make arithmetic calculations, rapidly and accurately. Some knowledge of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, FERPA and Account Receivable applications. Some knowledge of state and federal regulations concerning delinquent accounts and collection laws. Strong skills using the following or similar software: Student account software (Banner), Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Photoshop, Windows Movie Maker, and Publisher. Demonstrated ability to plan and organize work and analyze and interpret complex information for various audiences. Demonstrated ability to manage time commitments. Demonstrated ability to work effectively and multi-task.

Level and type of experience
Some Accounts Receivable experience including billing and collecting past due receivables. Experience auditing records for accuracy and providing excellent customer service in a high-volume environment. Some communication experience geared toward outreach platforms such as Live Chat, Facebook etc. Considerable skills in conducting presentations and effectively networking with a diverse audience.

Preferred knowledge, skills, abilities, education, experience, licensure, certification
Considerable skills in Communications, English, Public Relations, or business in conducting presentations and effectively networking with a diverse audience. Some experience working with Banner software.High school diploma or the equivalent, supplemented by bookkeeping, accounting training/education.

Conditions of Employment
This recruitment includes a $1,000 sign on bonus
