A DAY IN THE LIFE:
  • Produce 3D design models consistent with Architectural drawings, engineering instruction, industry guidelines, and ARCO standards
  • Clearly annotate, dimension, and detail 2D production drawings
  • Work collaboratively with other team members and other design disciplines to create 3D design models and 2D drawings
  • Assist the structural engineering project lead with the management of the BIM workflow
  • Create new Revit families, symbols, detail components, line styles, parameters, etc. as needed to improve efficiency of drawing production
  • Create 3D views or renderings as needed
  • Monitor work progress, anticipate changes or issues, and inform appropriate team members
  • Visit job sites for site observation purposes and drawing coordination as needed
NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Working experience or degree in related discipline (Design/Drafting, Computer Aided Design/Drafting, BIM technician, Civil etc.)
  • 0-2 years of building design experience or classwork utilizing Revit and AutoCAD
  • Working understanding within Revit of the creation and use of families, symbols, detail components, line styles, parameters, view templates, and filters
  • Detail-oriented mindset with an understanding of the importance of clear, concise, and consistent model creation and drawing documentation
