Martin & Libby is seeking a structural design engineer with experience in the design of steel, concrete, and wood structures. Martin & Libby is a San Diego, California based structural engineering firm providing consulting structural engineering services to numerous clients since 1960. Projects span a variety of construction materials and include work in the residential, commercial, and industrial sectors. Current and past clients/projects include: Petco Park, San Diego International Airport, SDG&E, and Los Angeles Metropolitan Transit Authority.
Position Requirements:
A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering.
2+ years of structural design experience. PE preferred.
Knowledge of current building and discipline codes and standards.
Ability to perform calculations, specify materials, and solve engineering problems.
Experience with a variety of structural analysis software including (CSI products, RAM Steel, and Enercalc) and AutoCAD. Knowledge of Revit is a plus.
Ability to communicate effectively with fellow engineers, contractors, and clients.
Experience with overhead crane runway design and/or earth retaining structure design is a plus.
Experience providing construction support services is a plus.
Ability to perform field work including structural observations, measurements, etc. in a variety on environments including industrial settings.
