Job Summary

As the Strategic Partnerships Manager, you will own current & new relationships with third party vendors & partners. You will work closely with our internal teams to educate/consult on available software and services and strategize innovative ways to expand on our current relationships. You will use an understanding of our business to drive strategic engagements and interact at all levels of the Abacus organization ranging from executives down to support personnel. You'll also work closely with leaders for Project Management, Client Relationship Management, Sales, Engineering, Software Development and Security teams to drive joint business initiatives and support the expansion of partnerships.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain relationships with our existing partners, within the financial services vertical, which can include, among others:
    • Vendors that service our client base (eg; Accountants, Law Firms, Compliance providers, Mail Archiving Systems, FIX providers, Cyber Security firms, PEO's, etc.)
    • Clients that have a potential for a deeper relationship/referral agreement (eg; OMS platforms, Risk/Trading Platforms, Analytics providers, etc.)
    • Other Third parties that operate in and around the financial services space (eg; Prime Brokers, IT Consulting Firms, Connectivity Brokers, Industry CTO's, etc.)
  • Document policies, guidelines, and pricing (if appropriate) that govern the "rules of engagement" for referring business back and forth between partners and Abacus.

Skills

  • Excellent oral and written presentation skills
  • Outgoing and good with people
  • Strong Planning/Management skills
  • Experience in direct selling or channel sales roles
  • Understanding of public cloud solutions across Infrastructure, Platform, and Software-as-a-Service (i.e., IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS).
  • Strong understanding of fintech industry
  • General understanding of IT best practices
  • Must be a strategic thinker and planner when it comes to finding new ways to monetize existing and new relationships

Qualifications

  • Must have 4+ years in a strategic partnership's development position within the Financial Services vertical or have worked in a role with broad exposure to partners and vendors in a collaborative capacity
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Experience working in/through a cross-functional organization and presenting to multiple audiences, including leadership and C-level teams.
  • Must be a team player, while also being able to work independently with little supervision

Salary Range: $90,000-125,000 DOE
