The Store Planner manages the flow of product to Guitar Center stores in line with assortment strategy and replenishes active assortment to ensure best in class in stock position. The Store Planner builds regional, district, store knowledge to allocate product strategically to drive sales. They will work with merchandise planners to communicate store needs and avoid shortages. They will monitor DC activity and reserves to monitor progress of stock from DC to store.

Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to the following:

  • Build store intelligence in collaboration with merchants and the field, local store visits, competition, customer demographics, and data.
  • Develop allocation parameters that take into account store demand, velocity and presentation.
  • Maintain in stock inventory availability and service levels, identify opportunities for corrective actions
  • Provides roll up of forecasts and purchases to contribute to in season planning process and the open to buy.
  • Create reports to support business reviewing weekly sales and inventory, identify top stores and underperforming stores. Collaborate with planner/merchant to make appropriate shifts and changes to assortment to improve sales and GMROI.
  • Maintains the planning system with accurate parameters to improve forecast accuracy, receipt flow and performance of algorithms.
  • Collaborate with new store team to ensure timely and complete fulfilment of grand opening assortment.
  • Monitors store groups for efficiency regularly and recommends changes at sub category.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Pay Rate: $24.00- $30.00 / hourly depending on background and experience.

To join our band, you'll need the following experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferably in Business, Merchandising/ Supply Chain or 2 - 3 years of relevant work experience.
  • 2 -3 years of relevant work experience (in addition to degree or years of previous experience).
  • Strong analytical, data manipulation to gain insight into the business. Strong knowledge of planning systems. Excel intermediate to advanced.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the retail industry, omnichannel, supply chain and logistics. Merchandising experience a plus.
