The Stock and Shipping Associate is expected to work as a valued member of the shipping and receiving operations team. This job will primarily consist of the receipt and delivery of all store products, as well as, acting as a stocking team member.

Essential Functions

• Responsible for shipping, receiving, unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders and distributing to sales associates for processing in the Newport store.
• Read customer orders, transfers, shipping orders or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed and/or shipped.
• Move items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to store-front.
• Ensure back rooms are accessible and safe for sales staff.

• Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders in holding area or ship.
• Tag and mark products with identifying information using appropriate BTS method.
• Support sales team as required with relocation or transport of products for client orders.
• Assist in counting of physical inventory.
• Prepare parcels for mailing, wrap and protect all merchandise as appropriate to avoid breakage.
• Sweep, dust and mop. Organize work area for orderliness at all times.
• Work with the Warehouse team in loading, unloading, transfers and inventory control of the warehouse as needed.
• Assist in answering customer calls when sales team members are waiting on customers.
• Perform any other tasks assigned to support and improve the overall team operations.

Physical Demands

This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching and climbing all day. This position works in both the backroom of a retail store and in the warehouse. The employee must frequently lift and/or move heavy items, speak and understand English and perform tasks in multiple computer systems.

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
