FULL JOB DESCRIPTION

Universal Stainless, Inc. was founded in 1997 and is located near Clear Lake, MN. We specialize in manufacturing custom stainless steel equipment for the food, dairy & beverage industries. Responsibilities:

• Set-up and perform TIG welding to Universal Stainless, Inc. quality standards
• Read and interpret blueprints and other welding process specifications to manufacture stainless steel equipment
• Perform accurate layout, positioning, and the securing of parts and assemblies prior to welding
• Assemble components using a variety of hand power tools, grinders and other hand tools needed to complete the job requirements
• Grind and polish metal to a sanitary finish
• Have the ability and willingness to follow directions and work independently
• Follow safety procedures and policies
• Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly condition

Requirements:

• Stainless steel TIG welding experience
• Ability to read and interpret drawings
• Ability to use a variety of hand tools, measuring instruments and welding machines, (including machine settings), for various welding processes
• Knowledge of various stainless steel polishing techniques and abrasives
• Display a positive attitude and a strong desire to learn and grow
• Demonstrate safe work practices creating a safe working environment for self and others.
• Ability to work independently or with others
