Job Summary:

The Quality Management and Compliance Department is currently seeking a Staff Trainer to provide required comprehensive training at the start of and as needed throughout employment to all agency talent. The Trainer will conduct and provide comprehensive assessments of new hires performance during training for continued employment. The Trainer will be required to work evening hours from 5pm-11pm (average 20 hours per week) between two locations.

This position reports to the Assistant Director of Training and Development.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provides comprehensive trainings at the start of employment and as needed throughout employment to maintain the standards of all agency talent
• Conducts trainings using engaging, creative, effective and clear communication
• Using the agency and regulatory standards, conducts a comprehensive assessment of newly hired employees during training and makes recommendations for feasibility of continuing employment
• Re-tests employees as needed
• Follows all Licensing Standards, Medicaid, DOE, DOH, DDD, and DCF training standards
• Develops and maintains professional relationships with agency staff, serves as a resource for staff
• Performs any other responsibilities as needed

Requirements:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines

Education / Work Experience / Skills:

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Must be a current Red Cross Instructor
• Certification in CPR, First Aid required
• Experience creating multimedia trainings required
• DDD certified trainer preferred
