Staff Tax Accountant Job at FSU Accounting Group
We are looking for a career minded and motivated Tax Accountant that wants to progress professionally, grow intellectually and be a part of a fast-paced, well-established firm in Summerville, SC area.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Review and Preparation of federal and state income taxes for individuals and businesses.
- Preparation and review of financial statements for tax filings
- Preparation of written correspondence/guidance, private letter rulings and other documents for submission to the IRS/State from client notices.
- Research various tax matters
- Collaborate closely with clients and internal peers
- Monthly, quarterly, yearly bookkeeping
- Prepare sales tax returns
- Review and advise on business owner salaries based on anticipated liabilities
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s/Associates degree in accounting.
- 1-3 years Experience preparing tax returns, individual, partnership and corporate
- Strong accounting and analytical skills.
- Strong computer skills
- Prepare and analyze Financial statements
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
- Detail oriented & ability to multi-task.
Salary range:
50,000-60,000 plus benefits
