Overview:

Twin Peaks Restaurants is looking to hire a Senior Staff Accountant for our corporate office who has a degree in accounting, finance or a related field. The candidate needs to prepare and analyze a variety of financial statements for accuracy and compliance. They need to review and audit the restaurant transactional activity and provide communication and general support.

In this role, you will be responsible for creating, maintaining and providing various reports and summaries and communicate with restaurants regarding the discrepancies found in weekly reporting and ensuring resolution of outstanding issues. You will work with the Accounting Manager to address reporting variances and prepare various reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends, propose and implement process improvements for areas of responsibility and complete monthly closing processes.

Responsibilities:

• Providing financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data
• Preparing asset, liability, and capital account entries by analyzing account information
• Documentation of financial transactions by updating account data
• Recommending financial actions and summarizing the current financial status
• Handling financial transactions by auditing documents
• Maintaining accounting controls by preparing policies and procedures
• Coordinating financial issues by collecting and analyzing accounting data
• Maintaining financial security by following internal controls

Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in accounting, finance or related field
• 4+ years of accounting experience, preferably in corporate environment
• Punctual, reliable and must have strong communication skills
• Strong Excel Skills (lookups, pivot tables, etc.)
• Ability to work with a team and produce quality output under tight deadlines
• Strong verbal and oral communication skills
• Self-motivated and strong analytical skills
• Attention to detail, prioritization skill and time management
• Quick learner with a positive attitude
• Experience in retail or restaurant accounting
• Authorized to work in the United States
