Staff Accountant
Salyers’ Group, located in Covington, KY, has a portfolio of 12 diverse and growing companies including real estate, retail, fashion, and hospitality. There is an immediate opening for a Staff Accountant to join our team. The perfect candidate will possess a curious spirit with a thirst to learn and be driven to quickly advance within the company.
Job Duties:
- Accounts Payable
- Review, validate, and enter vendor invoices.
- Perform weekly check run.
- Year end 1099 tax filings.
- Communicate with internal employees as well as outside vendors to resolve issues.
- General Ledger
- Prepare journal entries.
- Complete monthly bank reconciliations
- Month end close including balance sheet reconciliations and analytical review
- Assist with budgeting & forecasting
- Perform monthly intercompany billing reconciliations.
- Reconcile credit card transactions.
- Help develop, maintain, and improve procedures.
- Conducting internal audits.
- All other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in accounting, finance, or related field.
- 0 - 1 years of related experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively under multiple, and often changing priorities.
- Experience with Sage50, M3, NetSuite or BirchStreet is a plus.
