Staff Accountant Job at Cascadia Services, LLC
Description:
We are looking for an individual that has the ability to assist with most functions of the Accounting Department. The position will work directly with the Controller and accounting team. The ideal candidate will have a solid general accounting background and be detail-oriented with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. A desire to understand the larger financial picture and ability to handle confidential information is critical to this position. We are looking for someone who cares about the details.
Responsibilities:
- General Ledger reconciliations
- Bank Reconciliations
- Ensure accounting close deadlines are met
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements
- Work with field personnel to determine and book expense accruals, as well as review monthly financials
- Assist with the monthly and annual close process, review journal entries
- Assist with annual audits
- Assist the AP team with coding of invoices, posting invoices, reconciling AP, and vendor follow up
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field or equivalent work experience
- Accustomed to working under strict deadlines; able to work overtime as needed
- Accounting: 1 year (Preferred)
- GAAP: 1 year (Preferred)
- Microsoft Dynamics: 1 year (Preferred)
- Excel: 1 year (Preferred)
Preferable – knowledge and experience
- 2-5 years accounting experience
- Dynamics GP or other ERP system experience
