Job Summary

As the network engineer you will be responsible for building, configuring and managing multiple locations into a contiguous network. Firewall, switching and general network security will be your responsibility. You will need to be flexible and willing to work with multiple vendor switches and firewalls including but not limited to Sophos, Cisco, HP, Aruba, etc.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring network engineering performance and ensure system availability and reliability
• Configuring and installing various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS)
• Performing network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations
• Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability
• Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning
• Provide Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues
• Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure
• Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company’s security team
• Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution

Education and Experience

• Degree or certification in Network setup
• 4 years experience in network administration
• Sophos experience is heavily preferred
• IT or experience in hospitality systems are strongly preferred.
• Must have strong customer service skills and strong sense of urgency.
• As a Network engineer, you are expected to be available for on call and after hour calls when needed for network support

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $72,514.39 - $120,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift

Experience:

• Computer networking: 1 year (Preferred)
• LAN: 1 year (Preferred)
