Job Summary
Employees in this classification must be capable of performing a variety of work directly related to maintenance of the factory, factory utilities and equipment.


Primary Responsibilities

  • May be required to keep machines and mechanical equipment in good repair
  • Troubleshoot for mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic or other system defects and make necessary repairs
  • Must have good mechanical skill with working knowledge of all factory machines and systems and methods of maintenance or repair of same
  • Should possess journeyman level skill as mechanic, welder, electrician, plumber or other associated craft.
  • May be required to do machine make ready, hookup and set-up in production departments.
  • Duties including, but are not specifically limited to, maintaining the pace established for the group to which assigned.
  • Maintains a clean and safe working environment.
  • Maintain the highest ethical standards, even when challenged from above
Qualifications
  • Must be mechanically inclined
  • Must have ability to properly use the tools of various crafts as required to perform general factory maintenance work
  • Take work assignment with general instructions and uses own initiative and technical skills to carry job to completion.
  • May be required to work in the presence of pyrotechnic compositions when performing routine maintenance duties.
  • Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions; must be able to work without close supervision
  • Must have ability to use the tools required to perform the above duties
  • Must have good dexterity and non-restricted vision
  • Must have valid driver’s license
  • Must be forklift certified.

Education/Previous Experience Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Must have 2 – 5 years experience in a maintenance related field.


Work Hours

4/10 Work Schedule – 40 hour week. Overtime as needed.
