Position Summary:
The position will be responsible to administratively manage & coordinate the Nestle Health Science (NHSc) Global capital investment portfolio & simultaneously provide process, project engineering technical support to operations. In this role, the individual responsible to closely work with market & global Chief Engineer help manage the Capital investment portfolio, act as the market champion of investment tools, assist with the preparation and execution of capital and expense projects, report out the weekly & monthly KPI’s in close collaboration across all manufacturing sites of NHSc. As Process engineer, drive continuous improvements including developing, designing processes and procedures for manufacturing and packaging.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Championing the Global Nestle Capital Management tool. Work directly with facility engineers and finance controllers to keep capital system up to date and shepherd new projects through the submission and approval process.
  • Review all Major capital project submissions for adherence to Nestle standards. Coach and guide the Project Managers and Engineers to ensure submission materials present a coherent and consistent message that fully describe the project deliverables.
  • Work directly with Global & US Market Chief Engineer to maintain global capital projections and build capital tracking presentations for use to present to Nestle Executive Leadership.
  • Enable Capital Investment processes within new acquired businesses
  • Troubleshoot directly with the capital system users as needed.
  • Lead, design, install, commission, and start-up as well as maintain and improve process and packaging equipment’s
  • Works to identify root cause of manufacturing failures using structured problem solving. Applies root cause fixes to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Ensures compliance of process parameters and operational conditions with USDA and FDA regulations as applicable to design or improvements
  • Responsible for improvement initiatives that define equipment data, equipment capabilities, utilization, efficiencies, and obsolescence.
  • Strong collaboration with other key functions on executing projects including R&D, the Manufacturing Reliability team, the Continuous Improvement team, and autonomous maintenance team.
  • As subject matter expert, provide technical leadership in the areas of liquid & kitchen process, aseptic operations, packaging, and CIP.
  • Develop project justification and engineering proposals for capital credit submission.
  • Proficient on problem solving methodologies (DMAIC, GSTD or BDA)
  • Proficient on data analysis and loss deployment
  • Proficient skills in troubleshooting mechanical, process, and automation related issues
  • Coordinate across manufacturing facilities & global operations teams for capital investments
  • Coordinates with the Business Unit, Engineering, Maintenance, and others as necessary to provide information regarding necessary improvements to equipment / processes to reach targets.
  • Participates in budget preparation and capital expenditure recommendations.
  • Tracks and reports progress of Capital Investments and critical KPI’s
  • Utilizes the investment tools & Management of Change process as needed.

Travel: Case to case per business needs (30 - 40 %)
Employee shall follow NPTC NHSc safety & environmental objectives & targets, follow the plant safety rules, report unsafe conditions immediately, report incidents immediately or by the end of the shift, maintain compliance with regulations, and refer to the Safety & Environmental Management System(s) on all related procedures and programs.

Experience and Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Chemical, Food Engineering or equivalent with experience in the food, beverage, or dairy industries or other technical degree.
  • 1+ years of engineering experience in Project Management, Capital investment portfolio
  • MS Excel, MS Projects and other MS Tools along with analytics
  • Experience with UHT / Aseptic operation in a food, beverage or dairy plant - Preferred
  • Experience with process control of liquid or aseptic processes - Preferred
  • Knowledge on CIP systems, Hygienic engineering, food industry GMPs
