What will you do in this role?

You will…

  • Assist in development and oversight of the employee engagement programs and internal communications strategy and execution.
  • Assist in determining the most effective strategies and techniques to engage employees in the AAS strategy, culture, and mission.
  • Plan, draft and launch all internal communications and messaging to engage internal stakeholders and recruitment targets.
  • Assist in development and execute channel communications and oversee existing communications channels.
  • Drive internal communication activities to support the People Services teams, change management and culture initiatives.
  • Create and use tools to measure and monitor the effectiveness of communication and engagement initiatives.
  • Research, write and create content for employee communications, including company intranet and social media platform, video, presentations, memos, and posters. With direction, draft talking points and memos for executive leaders.
  • Develop and communicate positive employee engagement strategies and retention initiatives that foster and promote a culture of excellence.
  • Establish and maintain measurement standards to provide meaningful information that will guide continual improvement and further increase employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
  • Research and work with vendors and other departments to build employee engagement initiatives.
  • Support design and administration components for employee engagement surveys.
  • Analyze information and identify workplace improvements.
  • Improve recognition programs based on current business needs.
  • Educate and advise on Core Values, belonging, and connecting employees to the mission.
  • Lead a team of Engagement Specialists, ensuring excellent execution of projects, communication activities and engagement opportunities across the full organization.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What will you need to bring to the table in order to be successful in this role?

  • Minimum 4+ years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient experience with end-to-end content development (strategy, planning, research, writing, editing, distribution, measurement).
  • Proficient creating effective, innovative communications channels and programs.
  • Proficient presentation, interpersonal, influencing and communication skills.
  • Highly collaborative, organized, and resourceful.
  • Proficient writing and editing skills.
  • Proficient organizational and project management skills; executing with speed, high level of accuracy and efficiency, attention to detail, and follow-through.
  • Proficient and creative problem-solving skills with the ability to implement sound judgment.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced situations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, OneDrive, SharePoint)

  • Starting compensation for this role will be $63,000-$79,500. This opportunity offers earning potential up to $96,000 once proficient based on job competencies and experience.

Job Location
This role is 100% remote. However, American Auto Shield is only set up to hire employees in certain states. To be considered for this role, you will need to have permanent residence in one of the following states:

  • Ohio
  • Oklahoma
  • Tennessee
  • Texas
  • Virginia

Although many of our roles are 100% remote, employees residing in Colorado may be required to commute to the corporate office as needed for collaboration (up to 25%). The corporate office is located at 1597 Cole Blvd in Lakewood, CO. This role is considered a hybrid role.
