Scope of Position
The Spa Concierge is responsible for the overall operation of the spa reception area and telephones. He/she will provide efficient and courteous check in service to guests and members at all times. The Concierge is responsible for spa appointment booking and handling payments.
Position Requirements
- Professional demeanor appropriate for a luxury environment.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in Spa industry or hospitality preferred.
- Outstanding guest services and communication skills.
- Able to handle a multitude of tasks in an ever-changing environment.
Responsibilities
- Schedule services for individuals and large groups, call guests back to confirm.
- Greet guests and members in a friendly and efficient manner.
- Check in guests/members for appointments via Spa Soft; confirm first and last name, and provide general spa orientation upon arrival.
- Answer questions about available services, general property information, and amenities.
- Answer telephone inquiries promptly and professionally and channel them appropriately.
- Inform management of last minute changes, and resolve scheduling issues.
- Record guest preferences and needs by entering information into computer. Promote and sell spa and salon services
- Collect payment for services from guests and members.
- Perform any other reasonable duties as required by management.
Education
- High school diploma or GED; 2 years’ experience in the spa or related professional area.
Skills and Abilities
- Able to communicate in the English language. Second language is a plus.
- Able to work flexible schedules including holidays and weekends and able to perform multiple tasks.
- Experience using computers and software programs such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
Physical Requirements
- Able to work in a fast paced environment.
- Physically fit in order to lift, pull and push items up to 50 pounds.
- Also requires standing/walking/reaching and bending throughout shift.
