Job Title: Logistics Manager ISR/ Big Green / PeARL System
Reports to: Program Director ISR / Big Green / PeARL System
Classification: Exempt
Time Commitment: Daily rate
Rotational Support: Expected 56 days on duty/followed by 28 days off duty
Contingency: Contingent on award of contract on/about December 2022

Position Summary

Perform duties as Logistics Manager in support of Department of Defense missions for Big Green / PeARL System. The Logistician Manager will analyze and oversee the organization’s supply chain and the life cycle of assigned products from acquisition through distribution, delivery, and, when necessary, discontinuation.


Duties/Responsibilities


  • Develops procurement procedures.
  • Establishes priorities for ordering parts and supplies.
  • Develops corporate logistics policies and procedures.
  • Assists in planning and coordinating the implementation of an automated inventory management system and develops accurate, consistent enhancements to the inventory reporting structure.
  • Monitors inventory min/max levels in order to add to, detract from and modify inventory levels as appropriate.
  • Coordinates and maintain Aircraft Cores documentation. Establishes processes for status tracking and shipping of Rotables.
  • Runs a series of inventory reports on weekly and monthly basis.
  • Identifies ‘heavy’ and ‘low turn’ inventory items.
  • Communicates with customers and/or support staff to understand customers’ needs and to ensure those needs are met.
  • Coordinates availability and allocation of materials, supplies, and finished products.
  • Creates and/or deploys project management tools and systems; implements plans, schedules, and compliance metrics.
  • Collects or oversees the collection of product and project performance data; analyzes data for further product development and improvement.
  • Identifies opportunities to reduce costs, production time, and other areas lacking efficiency; recommends improvements.
  • Prepares reports and presents project plans, progress, and results.
  • Performs other related duties, as required.
  • Must possess at minimum SECRET level security clearance and complete pre-deployment training in accordance with U.S. government standards.

Minimum Qualifications
  • U.S. citizenship.
  • Must possess a current U.S. passport.
  • Ability to successfully pass a drug test.
  • Extensive knowledge of acquisitions and distribution.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

Education and Experience


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Supply Chain or related field.
  • Five years related experience required.
Supervisory Responsibilities

  • None

Travel

  • Travel and rotational deployment throughout the United States and locations outside of the United States, including austere locations, is required.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work in a variety of physical conditions, including austere conditions.
  • Ability to wear respirator or other required safety equipment.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces.
  • Ability to work at desk for prolonged periods of time.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
