Who You'll Work With

You'll be based in our Waltham office as part of the McKinsey Center for Future Mobility (MCFM) Solution team and global MCFM leadership group.
You will join a growing, entrepreneurial team focused on developing distinctive insights and intelligence tools and deploying them to McKinsey’s mobility clients.
You’ll work with mobility enthusiasts and experts within our McKinsey Center for Future Mobility on solving our client’s most challenging questions on their way towards a successful and sustainable future.

What You'll Do

The McKinsey Center for Future Mobility is our firm’s think tank developing new perspectives and counseling clients on trends in electrification, autonomous vehicles and shared mobility. Thus, we are at the forefront of the sustainable mobility transition and help business leaders and policy makers solve the world’s mobility problems for society, industries, and individuals.
You'll bring a passion for mobility and sustainability to lead a strong performance-driven solution team to develop and deploy assets and capabilities for our clients. You will manage the delivery of MCFM capabilities and business insights, and will oversee the development of data insights and tools around mobility (e.g., autonomy, connectivity, electrification, shared mobility, cities, decarbonization). Ideally, you will also bring industry leading automotive or mobility expertise, operational experience, and analytical skills to bear.
This is a highly entrepreneurial role with significant space for initiative taking and personal growth. You’ll have the opportunity to gain new skills and build on the strengths you bring to the firm. You will receive exceptional trainings as well as frequent coaching and mentoring from colleagues across the firm.

Qualifications

  • Advanced graduate degree
  • 8+ years of relevant experience, including managing cross-functional teams
  • Prior experience as a consultant in a professional services firm preferred
  • Background and strong interest in mobility paired with expertise in at least one MCFM knowledge domain (e.g., autonomy, shared mobility, cities, integrated mobility)
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills, with a proven ability to think strategically
  • Strong analytical background preferred, including knowledge of software/solutions: Excel and PowerPoint skills required; some Alteryx, Domo, Python, and Tableau experience is desired
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Skilled at working effectively and leading teams in cross-functional team setups
  • Adept at managing key stakeholders (internal & external), working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, and confidence/ability to work with senior stakeholders
  • Strong process management skills, with a hands-on, action-oriented style
  • Strong project management and multitasking skills with a proven ability to lead and structure thinking/work for multidisciplinary teams
  • Proactive approach, entrepreneurial mindset, and comfort with ambiguity
